Frequently Asked Questions
Here are answers to your most common collision questions. If you have
any other questions please contact us
How can I be sure that I'm getting the
real thing when it comes to replacement sheet metal parts?
You should talk to your insurance agent and the collision repair facility
doing the repair. Tell them you'll only accept genuine Collision Parts
when they repair your vehicle.
What is the difference between collision
insurance and comprehensive insurance coverage?
Collision insurance and comprehensive insurance may vary by state. Generally,
collision insurance covers damage to your automobile caused by a collision
with another object, while comprehensive insurance covers damage to your
automobile from such things as vandalism, theft, or glass breakage.
What happens if I am driving someone else's
car and am involved in an accident?
In most states, coverage for damage to non-owned vehicles -- for example,
rented or borrowed vehicles -- is no longer provided under your liability
coverage. If you have not purchased collision or comprehensive coverage
for at least one of your personally owned vehicles, you will not be covered
for damage to autos that you rent or borrow. Check with your insurance
agent to determine your coverage.
Are my coverage limits reduced if I have
more than one accident?
Your automobile insurance protection is not reduced if you suffer more
than one accident while the policy is in force. The same amount of coverage
applies to each accident.
Do I have to go to the preferred shop recommended
by my insurance company?
Not at all. You choose the body shop you want your car to be fixed in.
I have a brand new vehicle that has been
involved in accident. Can it look like new again?
Yes. We employ a state of art process which enables us to accurately match
your vehicle's finish.
How long will it take to repair my vehicle?
Vehicle repair time is determined by the complexity of the damages. Sunshine
Collision Center will make the repair in a timely manner without compromising
quality standards for the sake of time.
How can I pay for the repairs?
We accept insurance checks, money orders, Visa, MasterCard, American Express,
Discover, personal checks, and cash.
How do I know when my car will be ready?
When you schedule your repair, we will give you a tentative completion
date. It is a good idea to check with us 24 hours prior to completion
to confirm that we are still on schedule. If we anticipate major changes
to the delivery date, we will contact you.
